I just released a new track on bandcamp today. While I’m currently working on a whole album I felt cute and finished this piece I had laying around for about a year now.
“Die komatösen Träume des Bobby Newmark” (German: [ˈdiː komaˈtøːzən ˈtrɔɪ̯mə dɛs ˈbɒbi newmark]). Refers to the unconscious cognitive experiences occurring in Bobby Newmark’s mind while he is in a comatose state.
Bobby Newmark drifted through the digital haze, a net of forgotten code and broken protocols. In his coma, reality splintered, bleeding into the neon nightscapes of his dreams. He wandered streets of endless dusk, skyscrapers dissolving into data streams, flickering between shapes. Ghosts of hackers and old AI phantoms whispered secrets in his ear, their voices a low hum of static and lost ambition.
He found himself in virtual arcades, playing games long abandoned, the pixels melting under his touch. Memories of meatspace blurred—faces of friends, flashes of conversations, all distorted and interlaced with the circuitry of his subconscious. Bobby’s dreams were a network of collapsing nodes, pathways that led nowhere, but everywhere at once.
In the distance, a figure moved, always out of reach, shadowy and indistinct. Bobby felt a pull, a need to follow, to decode the mystery that lay within the dream’s encrypted layers. Each step was a plunge into deeper code, a descent into digital echoes of a world just out of grasp. Reality, a distant signal, faded into the background as the virtual consumed him, bit by bit.
