Today I released a new album inspired by a Numenera solo campaign. The 5 track album is now available as PWYW on bandcamp. Have fun and I hope you like it … at least a little! 😀

In the gloaming of a world unseen, Veersa stepped through the portal’s yawning maw, her heart ablaze with the fierce, unquenchable fire that burns within all seekers of the unknown. The vortex spat her out upon an alien shore, where the waves lapped hungrily at the strange and twisted rocks like some vast, unseen leviathan tasting the land for the first time.

The air was thick with an unfamiliar, cloying sweetness, heavy with the scent of decay and something else – a sinister undersong that seemed to whisper from every shadow. The sky above was a bruised and angry purple, as if the very heavens seethed in turmoil. A cold wind moaned through gnarled trees that bore no fruit but twisted, barbed vines, their leaves like broken blades.

Veersa’s hand strayed to her blade, the metal singing softly as it cleared its sheath. The sound was a challenge, a defiance against the creeping dread that sought to ensnare her heart. Her eyes, hard and gleaming as flint, searched the darkness for signs of life – any life.

The creatures she found were neither alive nor dead, but something in between. They writhed and twisted in the half-light, their bodies a sickening parody of natural forms. Some had too many limbs, others too few. A few bore the remnants of what might once have been eyes, now milky and sightless.
