House Gehwær #13 – You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore

a digital painting of a dense forest

This is part thirteen of my HârnMaster solo campaign, which is now not longer restricted to Hârn but to the whole of Venârivè. I don’t really know how far south the two protagonists are going to travel, but I feel the fact is quite amusing that very much like Twoflower was on the Discworld, Essryd and Moire are the first tourists in Venârivè.

House Gehwær #12 – If a farmer fills his barn with grain, he gets mice

a digital painting of a field

Good to see you back for part twelve of my HârnMaster Kèthîra solo roleplaying campaign. We are still in Chélemby and Fâlva is still missing. But one thing is certain: this is a job for the Mythic Mystery Matrix again. *dramaticmusicplaying* I think that this time I was more open to how the mystery plays out as in the first usage where Essryd searched for the murder of her family.

The Guernsey Affair … Mythic vs. Miss Marple

a screenshot of a miss marple movie with margaret rutherford looking at a man with the mythic gme cover as head

My wife is a forever-GM! She never really felt comfortable playing but loved to do the heavy lifting of being the GM, and she is by far the best I had the pleasure to play with. Due to her doctoral dissertation and work related overload, we played less than anticipated in recent years. That was mostly my motivation for playing solo … not to mention that there are several systems and/or settings my wife is not a big fan of.

House Gehwær #10 – The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

a digital painting of a harbor town

Part ten of my solo campaign brings us to yet another Kingdom on Essryd’s and Moire’s Tour de Hârn. I really think that it was a missed opportunity to not get a little sourvenir in each town they went through. But hey … it’s an escape, not a school excursion.

House Gehwær #8 – The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step

a digital painting of a medieval building

Welcome back to the eighth part of my HârnMaster solo campaign. After the last part, I decided to do a character sheet for Moire, because I thought that a second character would come in handy and balance out Essryd’s skills a little. With both now as the protagonists, I have a good mix of melee and ranged combat but also someone who is really good at survival, trecking and … cooking.

Can we please talk …

the cover of fragments of the past

… about how pretty “Fragments of the Past” is? I am really confused, because the project is, for today’s standards, quite old. It was released somewhere within the last 2 to 4 years. And the most disturbing thing is … it originated on ArtStation, a website I visit regularly on a professional basis. I never heard of Massimiliano Haematinon Nigro’s project before.
